Help Build a Home for a Local Wounded Veteran

Sgt. 1st Class, E7, Bacary Sambou has been active duty Army since October 20, 1997. He has received a Bronze Star, Purple Heart, 5 Certificates of Achievement, 3 Army Commendation Medals, an Iraq Campaign Medal, an Iraq Expedition Medal, an Afghanistan Campaign Medal, and an Afghanistan Expedition Medal. On March 17, 2012 while delivering supplies to a sister unit in Calabus, Afghanistan, Barcary’s team received an IED blast. He suffered a spinal cord injury, two broken ribs, a broken foot, and mild Traumatic Brain Injury. He also suffers from severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Barcary currently requires the assistance of a wheelchair and is being rehabilitated at a transitional living facility in Avalon Park, Orlando. We are asking for your support to give back to Sgt Sambou & future soldiers.

About the Hannibal Square Community Land Trust (HSCLT): HSCLT has been non profit 501c3 affordable housing organization since 2004. We raised partial funds with Fairways for Warriors to benefit building a new home for a disabled soldier wounded in the Afghanistan war. We are asking for tax-deductible donations &/or in-kind services to include electrical, plumbing, foundation material, mechanical, grading, landscaping and household furnishings to benefit the soldier & his family before he is discharged & left without a home.
