AmeriCorps Service Project

Dean Fathelbab, one of RTO’s two AmeriCorps members, choose to focus his service project this year on helping homeowner Maggie Roberts. When Maggie first contacted RTO, she was unemployed and her Homeowner’s Association was threatening to put a lien on her home if it wasn’t painted soon. Dean jumped on the opportunity to make a difference in Maggie’s life for his service project. He was able to utilize extra paint from previous RTO projects, get the approved green trim paint donated from Home Depot and rally a group of volunteers to help paint Maggie’s home. At the end of the one day, Maggie had a newly painted HOA approved home.

Painting the trim always calls for the most detail oriented and patient volunteers!

Smiling faces throughout the day!
