Project Hope

Project Hope has been rescheduled to January 30th, 2018

What happens when you combine three nonprofit organizations, three construction firms, and nearly 750 volunteers? Project Hope – a collaborative endeavor to expand the available units for homeless men and veterans. Rebuilding Together Orlando has joined forces with The Home Depot Foundation and Orlando Union Rescue Mission to support Project Hope and the community-wide impact it will have on so many lives effected by homelessness. Nearly 660 volunteers from The Home Depot Foundation’s network of vendors will partake in a day of service on January 30th to give forward and create an oasis for the clients of the Orlando Union Rescue Mission.

Rebuilding Together Orlando’s mission is to support community-centric projects helping to bring hope to the lives of individuals and families. This project is directly in target with RTO’s longstanding mission. The expansive construction happening right now is happening because of the generosity of The Home Depot Foundation’s supporters and the ongoing partnership between all parties involved.

"This is a perfect example of community revitalization. The facility that is being revived had outlived its original purpose and is being revitalized to accommodate the needs of the community today. Together we are making a difference." Ed Green, Executive Director, RTO.
